Got college aged kids?
Being that I'm on the trailing end (please Lord, let it be over soon!) of sending kids through college, this recent article in the local paper caught my eye. I noticed it not for how this information will benefit me, but how others can be saved from 4 years of a Top Ramen diet. (and I mean the parents, not the kids)Thursday September 27th a free workshop is being held for the parents of college bound students to inform them of little-known ways to get money for college. Tips will be shared on how to find college funding regardless of household income or grade-point average of the students. (heavy sigh...too little too late for me...)
This workshop is being taught by College Planning Specialists of the Bay Area and starts at 7pm. Reservations are required to attend, 800-224-3147 x222. Vacaville Public Library is where the workshop is being held, which is located at 1 Towne Square in Vacaville.
Sounds like a worth-while evening if you have college-bound kids. Now if only they would have a workshop for "Little Known Ways to Find Retirement Funds for Cash Starved Parents of Kids Who Went to College Without Any Outside Help". Let me know if this one pops up...
